The Marguerite shuttle Line A runs from the Palo Alto Transit Center to the California Avenue train station every 15 minutes, with a stop in front of our Serra Mall entrance. (See also the SLAC line, Menlo line, Downtown Express, and B routes (map).)
Walking from the University Ave train depot takes about 25 minutes. Bicycles may park in several lots adjacent to the building (but not by the main entrance, please).
For deliveries to Gates Receiving, or to use the handicapped or special "G" parking permit area (available after 4pm), please use the following directions. Otherwise, note the parking advice below.
Take the Embarcadero Road exit west towards Stanford (the third ramp, northbound). At El Camino Real, Embarcadero becomes Galvez Road. Stay in the left lane and continue in to campus. Turn right on Campus Drive, and continue past the back of the Medical Center.
When you reach Via Ortega, make a U-turn to go back on Campus Drive
(northbound; `clockwise').
Take the Alpine Road exit east (bayward, down the hill).
Turn right onto Junipero Serra Blvd.
Turn left onto Campus Drive West at the traffic light by Golf course entrance.

Exit El Camino Real from the right lane at University Avenue.
Turn left, heading for the hills (away from Palo Alto).
University becomes Palm Drive.
Turn right at the second stop sign onto Campus Drive.
[etc]
Turn right onto Quarry Road just past the Stanford Shopping Center.
Turn right at Campus Drive.
[etc]
Turn right on North Service Road to use
the handicapped/service vehicle/G permit parking areas.
For short term delivery/pickup, park on the Gates Receiving driveway
and see Frank Muniz in room 176.
(Northbound, from Page Mill, turn right instead.
Metered parking is available in either of the two parking structures at Roth Way and Campus, and at Via Ortega and Panama Street. Bring many quarters.
