Fall Quarter instruction begins September 25, therefore to have all needed =
reserve materials available to students by the beginning of the quarter, re=
serve lists must be submitted to the Engineering Library as soon as possibl=
e. There are several options from which you can choose to submit your lists=
:

* the electronic web form. (http://soe.stanford.edu/englib/reserves.html)
* email (englib@sulmail) or fax (725-1096) .
* reserve request lists may be hand delivered to the Engineering Library. P=
lease do not use ID mail . It is slow.=20

This is the information we need to prepare materials for you:

General course info:

Dept./Course=20
Instructor=92s Name and library ID number ( e.g. 2000184035 )=20
Contact Person, if different from Professor
Phone and office numbers

Type of material, book, journal article, lecture notes, problem sets

Number of copies ( usually one per twenty-five students )
Loan period ( 2-hours, the usual loan period for reserves, or  4-hours, 1-d=
ay, 2-days, 3-days )

When submitting personal copies: Please attach a note with the instructor's=
 name and campus address so they may be returned at the end of the quarter.=
=20
Copies of homework sets, course notes, case studies, etc. should be clearly=
 labeled as such.
Only one photocopy of copyrighted material is permitted for class use by th=
e fair use doctrine.  The length limit is 1000 words per excerpt unless you=
 have a copyright release.
When submitting exams: Be aware that exams are listed separate from the cou=
rse reserves and that the loan period is always set at 2-hours or less depe=
nding on demand.

When submitting NON-SITN videos: (i.e.: student presentations or lectures f=
rom previous quarters) Be sure tapes are clearly labeled with the course nu=
mber, instructor's name and date of recording.  Like other personal copies,=
 videos should also include a campus address for return at the end of the q=
uarter.  When submitting video tapes, always include the name and phone num=
ber of the person to contact in the event of problems.
