Date: Wed, 24 Sep 1997 09:32:42 -0800 To: ee-adminlist@ee.stanford.edu, ee-faculty@ee.stanford.edu From: frisbie@ee.stanford.edu (Catherine Frisbie) Subject: Hiring Graders Faculty and Staff, Graders must complete all of the appropriate forms BEFORE they begin grading. If we find out later that they are ineligible to work, they cannot be paid, even if they've already completed work for you. Some students run the risk of being deported if they exceed the number of hours they're allowed to work and students without social security numbers or work visas are not eligible to work in the United States at all. It's important that we find this information out before they begin grading. Please be sure that your graders have completed the hiring process before they start working. You can email me (frisbie@ee) with the student's last name to find out if the grader you hired has completed all forms.
